I am an author and illustrator based in Melbourne, Australia. I have been fascinated by the fairy realm since a young age. As this interest matured, I stepped away from the traditional, sweet, sparkly fairy so commonly recognized and became curious about a more fierce embodiment. This feels more in keeping with the dramatic contrast of stunning beauty, savagery, and magic across Australia's spectacularly varied landscape.

Science, nature and avant-garde fashion are leading sources of inspiration for me. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of reality and fantasy through the use of tangible objects that can act as a bridge between the two worlds. Through words and images, I aim to convey nature’s ability to be both beautiful and severe simultaneously. After many years of academic writing and while working and studying as part of the health and sciences field, I have enjoyed altering this traditionally formal writing style to convey humour, awe, fun.
